Winning Your Race

Sometimes it seems difficult to pursuit dreams when the shadows of the past darken your vision.  Sometimes the vision of success is interrupted by the immediate blur from the smoke of the fires we attempt to put out hourly.  Sometimes our vision, our energy, our enthusiasm becomes dark by the many adjustments you make to again remain on your path to successful endeavors.

The past can only affect your vision of the future if you are continuing to look behind you.  The smoke clears as we gain clarity on our commitment to our successful objectives by focusing on the most important activity to accomplish at the moment for the ultimate accomplishment of our vision.  Our vision, our energy, our enthusiasm increases like the strength of a marathon runner who is constantly adjusting to the conditions of his path, when we continue to find the opportunity in the challenge, the celebration of the next step, and the fuel to be excited about our new level of achievement.

Our challenge is to consistently fuel the hope, the commitment, and the next step with the clarity of our purpose.  As God blesses us with the next step, let’s be grateful for the stress that we are challenged with for we will grow stronger in faith, in patience, and in abundance.

Failure would only be in having no enthusiasm to take the next step.

Crawl with no fear.  Walk upright with confidence and clarity.  Run with all the enthusiasm that God has bestowed in you with full expectation of winning your race.

  1. I love it. I often find my vision clouded by the smoke of the past. I am learning daily of the need for more clarity of vision. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Good stuff . . . Now . . . Keep it coming :-)

    Best,

  3. Thanks Trent,

I agree that many of us are clouded by the past, I often refer to the “emotional curio cabinet of ills” that people have with them. Filled with every thing ‘bad’ that has every happened to them, taken out occasionally to polish and shine and remember, they forget they can own a curio cabinet filled with gratitude and thanks for all they have and are. That which we focus on, we intensify!

Thanks for the quality of your blog posts!

  4. Hi Trent,

You’re opening page is well stated and 2009 will bring constant change with networking opportunities. I agree that we must be more selective and concentrate on prioritizing projects. Being a multitasker and having an iron in many fires, I also have narrowed my field of focus.

Funny you should not only conect with me, but leave me a comment because I had excused LinkedIN as a viable networking solution. Busy people get things done, but busy people rarely stop to smell the coffee which is much need in order to remain awake.

Thanks for the refreshment of your Learning Curves outreach.

  5. What a great inspiration for the new year!

Many of us need to work on getting past unpleasant experiences and move on to better things.

    Thanks for the reminder!

  6. Isn’t it great when people finally realize that the future is really held in your own hands and that you and only you alone can make the best out of your own life.

Many people have been sent into our paths to help guide us on our journey! If we let the misfortunes of the past lead us, then we will never receive the gift of our vision that’s inside of us.

That’s the ’secret’ to life. Always live in the now and be who you were meant to be. Search and you will find!

    Great reminder!
